Watauga Superintendent “Schools” Boone #Rotary – in a Good Way

elliotBoone Sunrise Rotarians heard about the Top 10 issues facing local schools during a visit by Watauga County Superintendent of Schools Scott Ellliot.

The presentation probably drew the highest number (and most thoughtful) questions of any this year.

Dr. Elliott said that the system would focus on continuing and adding high-tech, knowledge-worker programs to the system as well as creating new types of flexible classroom experiences for those in unique situations. Photo courtesy of Leslie Smith

Time for a TAP Update

Dear Rotarians:

Jesse

Jesse Lutabingwa

I would like to share the Rotary TAP Report that we have just submitted to the Rotary Foundation this afternoon.  Please share as widely as possible.  I am very gratified and happy with the work that together we have done.  I am also pleased with the work done by our cooperating club in Bukoba, Tanzania. For photos, click here.

Again, thank you for all that you have done and thank you for supporting this project.

Thanks,
