The Boone Sunrise Rotary Club and President Jim Street welcomed the 2021-2022 District Governor Ken Shull on Tuesday, July 20th.

Ken’s presentation shared the goals of Rotary International (RI) President Shekhar Mehta, namely, increasing worldwide membership to 1.3 million Rotarians. He also talked about empowering girls with service projects, scholarships, and mentoring. Ken discussed emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion in our Club, and leveraging regionalization efficiencies.

In addition, Ken also emphasized four key areas for District 7670. Specifically, improving our public image as Rotary at Work, Membership Retention, service collaboration with other community groups, giving to RI Foundation, and also providing funds back to our District 7670.n

In closing, Ken stated his directive, ‘Go Forth and Do Good’.
