Stop Hunger Now Partners with The Rotaract Club of Boone at ASU to package 10,000+ Meals
The Rotaract Club at ASU with the Blowing Rock, Boone, and Boone Sunrise Rotary Clubs are joining forces with Stop Hunger Now in the fight against hunger. More than 50 volunteers will package 10,000+ meals for the world’s hungry on the 24th of April, 2016 at The Reich College of Education Building on ASU campus The Bryce & Izoria Gordon Gathering Hall, room 124 at 2:00pm.
Stop Hunger Now meal packaging events are a volunteer-based program that coordinates the streamlined packaging of highly nutritious dehydrated meals comprised of rice, soy, vegetables and 22 essential vitamins and minerals.
“On behalf of The Rotaract Club at Appalachian State University, I am excited to have a part in creating this event! The students of Rotaract are looking forward to collaborating with the surrounding Rotary Clubs and the Boone community to package meals, and bring a greater awareness of hunger to the high country.” – Shelby Diacheko, President, Rotaract of Boone at Appalachian State University
